A majority of the route filmed on a perfect riding day in eastern Victoria, March 2021. Buchan to Bete Bolong is a gateway to Orbost and the fabulous Bonang.

I can’t feel
Arcette can’t feel (surprisingly apt). Respite from GTAV online and Cyberpunk 2077’s rabid dystopia, chill to some clubbing, it’s been a very, very long time. Between drinks :/
Sabotage

Reverse High Country
Today and today and today, yesterday will be what was, tomorrow isn’t here yet, today is today. 3:36 minutes of video recorded, edited and best played back in 1080p60HD Location:Â Victoria, Australia,
Blue Duck amuck
Shot in late January 2021 in mid-thirty degree air temperature, hot as hell, late in the afternoon on the glorious Omeo Highway heading west starting just before the Blue Duck Inn, Anglers Rest, Victoria, Australia.
Many thanks to “JM” for the rearview video 🙂
Best watched on a decent-sized screen and in HD.

Glenaire
For all of our tomorrows, wherever they may find us.
On the Great Ocean Road shot from the northwest heading southeast, mid-week and unusually deserted, recorded just after Victorians were first released from lock-down in May 2020. Music from David Bowie’s Wild is the Wind from the seminal album Station to Station (1976), inspired by Nina Simone and her 1959 live recording.
The Bonang
Shot from Orbost in the south through to the Delegate river in the north ascending from 25 m to over 1,000 m above sea level.
One of Australia’s great motorcycling roads, ~112 km from Orbost to the Delegate River and 105 km of advisory posted twisty awesomeness. This video is ideal for those wanting to “learn” the corners, and there are a lot of them 🙂
NB. B-double logging trucks of up to 25 m in length and 62,500 kg traverse this road (more than 200 times the weight of a bike and rider), many are seen in this video (~8 min, ~16 min etc), stay the f*ck to the left of the white line!
Highway bypass
Yes, I know: when you know a better way, the route less travelled, the route that retains your sanity, eschew the highway. 3:47 minutes of video best viewed in 1080p60HD. Location: Victoria, Australia.
Tree Mission Hill
8:24 minutes of video best viewed in 1080p60HD. A sojourning mission to the treed hill as a final winter ride for 2019 ahead of the official start of the Australian spring. Longer days and a hankering for the less oft traversed route, further afield, empty roads, sun penetrating my leathers. The land proffering warmth, coaxing forth a thaw, a welcome respite. The heating land creating air currents pushing the wild antarctic southern fronts away, for now. A beautiful day to be; I am being me and in my being seeing me without from within.
Prime time of your life
The life unlived, the life unexperienced, the “un” life isn’t life. This life is. This life is filled with events that quicken the heart, that remind you that you are alive, alive in the prime time of your life.
“There is a crack between the two worlds, the world of the diableros and the world of living men. There is a place where these two worlds overlap. The crack is there. It opens and closes like a door in the wind.”
Carlos Castaneda, The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge
The crack opens at the junction between day and night, as the red light approaches the doors to perception, to heaven and to hell open and let us slip inside, if we choose.

Yesterday, a ride.
For all of our yesterdays; for all of us, yesterday.
Flying through the clouds the mists swirl around us, encircle us and yet too define us. Those feelings melt and yet amplify as we soar and glide, outside space and time.
Time doesn’t bind, distance doesn’t confine, space doesn’t contain; feeling creates me and you too. That feeling when we look inside our self and see our feeling, feel our seeing, are our being.
