The Bonang

The Bonang

Shot from Orbost in the south through to the Delegate river in the north ascending from 25 m to over 1,000 m above sea level.

One of Australia’s great motorcycling roads, ~112 km from Orbost to the Delegate River and 105 km of advisory posted twisty awesomeness. This video is ideal for those wanting to “learn” the corners, and there are a lot of them 🙂

NB. B-double logging trucks of up to 25 m in length and 62,500 kg traverse this road (more than 200 times the weight of a bike and rider), many are seen in this video (~8 min, ~16 min etc), stay the f*ck to the left of the white line!

Tree Mission Hill

Tree Mission Hill

8:24 minutes of video best viewed in 1080p60HD. A sojourning mission to the treed hill as a final winter ride for 2019 ahead of the official start of the Australian spring. Longer days and a hankering for the less oft traversed route, further afield, empty roads, sun penetrating my leathers. The land proffering warmth, coaxing forth a thaw, a welcome respite. The heating land creating air currents pushing the wild antarctic southern fronts away, for now. A beautiful day to be; I am being me and in my being seeing me without from within.

Prime time of your life

Prime time of your life

The life unlived, the life unexperienced, the “un” life isn’t life. This life is. This life is filled with events that quicken the heart, that remind you that you are alive, alive in the prime time of your life.

“There is a crack between the two worlds, the world of the diableros and the world of living men. There is a place where these two worlds overlap. The crack is there. It opens and closes like a door in the wind.”
Carlos Castaneda, The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge

The crack opens at the junction between day and night, as the red light approaches the doors to perception, to heaven and to hell open and let us slip inside, if we choose.

Yesterday, a ride.

Yesterday, a ride.

For all of our yesterdays; for all of us, yesterday.

Flying through the clouds the mists swirl around us, encircle us and yet too define us. Those feelings melt and yet amplify as we soar and glide, outside space and time.

Time doesn’t bind, distance doesn’t confine, space doesn’t contain; feeling creates me and you too. That feeling when we look inside our self and see our feeling, feel our seeing, are our being.

The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.
